My Dress & Cooking

I finished my dress last week! It turned out really cute!

And here it is on me!

Well, Chris is gone again this week on travel, but we did enjoy a great meal Saturday. We grill steaks on the grill and I made my famous twice baked potatoes! They are fabulous!

I didn't have anything sweet in the house for dessert, so I made Paula Deen's Grandmother Paul's sourcream pound cake! Yummy!!

Well, that's it for now! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Love to you all!

2 Days In A Row!!

Can you believe that I'm here again posting pictures of all things?!! I thought I'd share a few pictures of my livingroom. I'm obsessed with roosters! They are finding their way into every room in the house! You can see that we still need to touch up the crown molding!! It's on the honey do list!

This is a corner in my itty bitty kitchen. It's a small house, but it's our little cottage that is always cozy and warm.

And here is one of my very favorite things.............Lily! I just love her so much! She's like having a real life teddy bear!

So, this is what I'm working on today............I cut this dress out months ago, so it's about time I sew it up. I hope to have it all done and be able to wear it Friday when I pick Chris up at the airport. It's Simplicity 2568, the middle picture. I love this pattern. I want to make the top and pants too. I'll keep you updated on my progress and post pictures when it's done.

Well, that's it for now! Everyone have a great day!

Love, Lisa

I'm Back!!

I bet ya'll didn't think I was ever going to post again!! Well wonders never cease! I've been busy making things for mom's new kitchen. I made a valance for her kitchen window, placemats, potholder, basket full of apples and three toile bird prints. Hopefully she'll get them this week, but until then here's some pictures.

There isn't a picture of the valance, but it's the same plaid fabric as the placemat. Mom, I hope you like everything. I loved making it all!

I'm thinking about putting some of the embroidered pictures on Etsy. Maybe I'll have some luck selling them.

Now for some Christmas pictures:

Here is our tree

Here we are at the Gaylord Texan (Sherry - notice the beautiful scarf I'm wearing, thank you, I love it!)

This was Christmas day. I'm wearing the dress Tyler got me!! Can you believe that he picked out the dress and got the right size?!! I love it! And now you all know why people call him Jesus. Hopefully the hair and beard will be gone this time next week, at least that's the deal we made!

And here are my two guys! They actually both look happy :)

Well, I guess that's it for now. I promise to try better at keeping this thing up to date!

Love you all!
